CASE FILE // Exhibit A
Plainly

Why I'm building this.

I'm a regular person. An AI nerd, a slightly sleep-deprived mum, and someone who's spent WAY too much time arguing with chatbots.

For months I paid for a top-tier AI plan while the output got worse and the tokens vanished faster than the work got done. One night it finally tipped me over. At 5am, stressed, running on not enough sleep, I wrote to support. The message contained two wrong words, with a bit of emotion thrown in.

What those two words cost16 minutes
  • A bot read them and cancelled my subscription. I had asked for a credit.
  • Access to live client work: revoked instantly, mid-project.
  • Refund: half.
  • Time from my message to all of the above: sixteen minutes.

I got it resolved in the end. Full refund. Credits added. Not because I found some secret support channel. Because I came back with receipts. Invoice numbers. Timestamps. Support transcripts. Their own status history. Suddenly I wasn't trying to convince someone that something had gone wrong. I could show them. That changed the conversation.

Why this matters to me

Getting burned was one thing. What kept me up was what I found when I started researching: a swarm of people in the same fight. Credits wiped with no recorded usage. Refund requests executed as cancellations. "No record of your subscription." Quality collapsing inside fully billed months. Bot loops with no human at the end.

And underneath it, a quieter pattern. If you have influence, a following, or an enterprise account, your dispute gets escalated. A human appears, things get fixed, sometimes with an apology. Everyone else gets the bot.

If you have influence, you get a human. Everyone else gets the bot. Exhibit A is for everyone else.

The providers aren't going to change their process; if anything it gets more automated every quarter. What can change is how you walk in. You'll spend time on this dispute either way. This tool makes sure it's the hour that wins, not the hours that vanish.
