CASE FILE // Exhibit A
GENERAL FILE Every other provider & app

Your case is with the company you pay.

Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Mistral, and every app built on someone else's models. The method is identical; only the addresses change.

The one rule that matters

If you pay the app, your contract, and your case, is with the app, not the model provider underneath. But the model provider still matters as evidence: their public incidents affect the app too. Pull the underlying provider's status history for your dates and attach it.

Example: Cursor runs on other companies' models. A claim about degraded quality inside your billed month cites Cursor's status page AND the model provider's incident history for the same dates.

Where your evidence lives (generic map)

InvoicesYour account's billing page (or the app store you subscribed through). Download every invoice/receipt as PDF; note invoice numbers.
UsageScreenshot usage meters, limit warnings, and error banners with the time visible.
StatusSearch "[provider] status page". Export incident history for your billing period to PDF, plus the underlying model provider's history for the same dates.
SupportTheir help center chat or email. Always capture the ticket or conversation ID.
APIYour developer console's usage and billing pages. Export for the affected period.

Subscribed through Apple or Google Play?

App-store purchases add a two-party problem: the store handles the money, the provider handles the service, and each can point at the other. Request the refund through the store's official flow first (it's time-limited), and in parallel put your documented case to the provider, some will refund directly with evidence the service never worked.
